Luis Fabiano World Cup betting

Luis Fabiano was born on 08/11/1980 which means he will go to the 2010 World Cup aged 29, pretty much the peak of his career. He is exactly 6 feet (1.83m) tall meaning he can be a nuisance in the air as well as on the ground. Luis Fabiano has a great eye for goal and in recent years he has emerged as Brazil's main goalscorer, looking to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Romario and Ronaldo who have won World Cup Player Of The Tournament and World Cup Golden Boot awards respectively.

Luis Fabiano was a late developer, he started his career at Brazilian club Ponte Preta where he only scored three goals in twelve games over two years. He then moved to French club Rennes where, again, things didn't really work out with no goals in eleven games.

In 2001 Luis Fabiano returned to Brazil to play for Sao Paulo and this is where his career began to gather steam. He scored sixty goals in eighty four games for Sao Paulo although he was also branded the bad boy of Brazilian football during his time there after getting involved in many on pitch brawls.

His form in Brazil led to Portuguese side Porto paying around 10m Euros for his services and this turned out to be another poor move for Fabiano as he could score only three goals in twenty two games.

After one season in Portugal he moved to Sevilla to play in La Liga. Luis Fabiano has a record of around a goal every other game for Sevilla and his record for them and Brazil led to a move from AC Milan to secure his services last summer, but Sevilla refused to let him leave for anything less than 20m Euros.

Luis Fabiano made his international debut for Brazil in 2003 against Nigeria in an international friendly. He scored before being substituted in that match.

He then went on to be part of the Brazil team who won the Copa America in 2004, however he followed that with a three year absence for Brazil following his poor form at porto and a slow start for Sevilla. He eventually returned in November 2007 and he has been a regular starter since. A year later he scored his first international hat trick against Portugal.

Fabiano's international success continued into 2009 where he was the Golden Boot in South Africa in the Confererations Cup. He scored five goals for winners Brazil in that tournament, including a brace in the final against USA.

So far Luis Fabiano has managed to score twenty five goals in thirty six games for Brazil anbd he is likely to add to that total in international friendlies just before the World Cup and then in the World Cup itself.

Luis Fabiano Golden Boot odds

Luis Fabiano is one of the favourites in the World Cup Golden Boot betting and that is no surprise considering he was top scorer at the Confederations Cup in South Africa last summer. The conditions of the World Cup should be the same, although the opposition should be a little tougher, but he remains the main goal threat for a team who has traditionally scored a lot of goals at the World Cup.

Luis Fabiano is a very good all round striker and that should help his case to be the World Cup Player Of The Tournament. The only problem is he could end up being overshadowed by one of his own Brazilian team mates.
