England World Cup Betting

‘This is England’s year’. You will hear plenty of that but people saying it might finally have a point. There is little doubt that Fabio Capello is one of the best managers England have had, just look at his record against Croatia compared to that of Steve McClaren.

England have nearly always been unlucky losers at the World Cup. In 2006 they were cheated by Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo and then went out on penalties, in 1998 it was Argentina who used dirty tactics before beating England on penalties. In 2002 it was Brazil who had ten men rather than England and Brazil won fair and square, but England did go out against the World Cup winners. In 1990 England were denied on penalties once again, this time against West Germany, who won the World Cup that year. With a bit more luck England could well reach the final of the World Cup in 2010.

England should win their group and we are predicting that they will at least reach the semi final of the World Cup. They may go a bit further than that and get to the final but chances are the semi final will be where they exit.
